Fall Lineup

These could change, but as of now here are the lineups for CBS, NBC, ABC, The WB, and Fox. Can anyone tell me why half the shows I like to watch are going to be on at 7pm on Thursday nights? I will NOT choose. I'll just tape them all as usual. Oh how I love timeshifting.

The GodFather: Part 0.70

I know the possibility that any of you have committed this terrible legal infraction is small, but this is for those who have downloaded, you know, 1 or 2 songs using Napster (in the old days) or Emule or LimeWire or whatever. Especially now that copyright issues are such a big deal, users of P2P filesharing have learned to slightly alter the names of songs so they are not noticed as anything copyrighted. This makes it easy to download most music, but it also makes it very difficult to keep your mp3 folder organized because every song has a crazy name like this:

Evangelion - _______ (Alter Ego Mix)
or even
???ÆãǡǢǦÇÑ¡EÇÚǩdzdz?Ç}¡B?¡Eǯ?ǫdz??Vol.03 ¡uÇeÇ]ÆýÆû¡v µ¦ÐÆñÇ¿uÇr (Ä~§øÇmÆñÇq)

I remember I used to go through my music folder for hours at a time renaming songs to fit my desired format. Yes, this was in college when I should have been doing something more productive, but for some reason I found this activity highly necessary. Eventually I just gave up and now, even though most of my files have been renamed already because of my past attacks on the music folder, I just don't care what the filenames are anymore. I still wish they were right, but probably like most of you, I just don't have the motivation to go in and change them all.

Well fret no more, because there is a solution. This application, The GodFather, can solve all your file renaming and organizing issues. You can have it automatically rename all files according to your own favorite format in a specific location, or you can go in and manually rename them with a fairly simple interface. If you don't want all the files to be renamed automatically, but you just have 8 songs that you absolutely have to rename using The GodFather's magical ability, then you can right-click and auto-rename individual files, too. Lastly, you can have the app go through and locate files with similar names or ID3 tags which makes it easy to find and delete duplicate songs, freeing up valuable hard drive space.

You can download the 0.70 Beta version here. And for those of you with dial-up, the filesize is only 3.27 MB so it won't take that long to download. If you are someone with a terrible, impenatrable firewall, tell me and I will email it to you. Have fun! Stay organized!

Hey look! It appears that the UK is also in on the race for the giant robot. I have to say, I think this one looks the best and scariest.

Also, check out this creepy rollercoaster. It really looks like it's right out of a movie.

Lost in Translation

Today I woke up to this beast outside my window:

Mechanically enhanced yard Posted by Hello

This means we're one step closer to grass!!! But we still have two 8ft tall mounds like this:

I also wanted to finally post the wonderful lyrics to the opening theme to "Wolf's Rain" called "Stray."

Actual song lyrics (sung in English...I did my best):
Stray! Stray!

In the cold breeze that I walk alone
The memories of a generation burned within me
There forever since I cried the pain and sorrow
I live and die with the pride that my people gave me
I'm here standing on the edge
staring up at where the moon should be

Stray! No regret 'cause I've got nothing to lose
Ever stray! So I'm gonna live my life as I choose
Until I fall
Stray! Stray!

And now for the "translated" lyrics (also in English?):
Wandering! Wandering!

In the cold wind I'm on my way alone
I'm burning in the memory
It's... forever there my shout and sadness, my survival
And death are for the people and I'm proud of it
I stay in the edge
staring at the moon

Wandering! I don't regret, cause I'm alone, I have nothing to lose
I was wandering before! So I'll survive in my way
till I die
Wandering! Wandering!

Interesting...

Latest entry in Darth's blog as of May 2:

"Boba Fett is one of the few people with whom I will share a meal. He was horribly disfigured by acid years ago, and I feel we hold a bond in common in that respect. He has never so much as winced at the ghastly noises that come through my ventilator while I chew, because he is a gentleman."

Boba Fett...a gentleman...who would have thought?
